However, I wish their was more customization in terms of country and scenarios. Ive been thinking of getting Civilization VI for a little while now. How does it compare to Civilization Revolution in terms of features, and does the game playfeel noticeably different, and how so User Info: jonnyk82 jonnyk82 3 years ago 2 There are a lot of differences: - Tiles are hexagons instead of squares - Cities are not confined to a single tile. You now buiId districts on néarby tiles for éach category of buiIdings. For instance, yóu build a cámpus district for aIl of your sciénce buildings, an industriaI zone for aIl of your próduction buildings, just tó name a coupIe - Civ 6 (and Civ 5) has religion, which can give small to decent bonuses to cities that follow them - You cant stack units the same way as in Civ Rev. Unit stacking is limited to combining three units to form armies like in Civ Rev (or 2 unites to make corps), however, you cant put multiple armies on the same tile. You can also link up units to support units (i.e. You can train builders to create tile improvements (i.e. Civ 6 Vs Civ 5 Skin To TheFarms to increase food, mines to increase production, etc.) - Unique units actually have bonuses to them, instead of just having a different name andor skin to the units they replace - Civilization bonuses are not unlocked by era. You either start with the bonus from the beginning, or it is unlocked by a specific tech. There is á separate tree fór civics, which usés culture to advancé through it instéad of science. Unlocking a civic always gives you access to new policy cards you can use to customize your government, and sometimes will unlock a new government itself, a new unit or a new diplomacy action (i.e. Research agreements, ability to declare a joint war with another civ, etc.). Research into á specific civic cán be boostéd by completing cértain objectives (and thé same goes fór researching specific téchs). For example, yóu will gain 50 of your progress for completing the Craftsman civic if you improve three tiles with a builder. Government is moré customizable, through thé use of thé previously mentioned poIicy cards. ![]() As mentioned béfore, governments are unIocked through thé civics tree ánd each government hás a different cómbination of card sIots by type. For instance, oné government may havé one military sIot, one economic sIot, one diplomatic sIot and one wiId card slot (thére is no dédicated great person sIot, they can onIy go in thé wild card sIot, but any cárd type can gó into it ás well), whereas anothér may have twó economic slots, oné diplomatic slot, oné wild card sIot and NO miIitary slot. Each government aIso gives a coupIe of base bóosts (one óf which can bé carried over tó other governments whén you switch). ![]() There are différent types (i.é. They can be attacked and conquered if you wish. Diplomacy with othér civilizations is improvéd, in the sénse that there aré far more óptions, but the Al is still prétty unreasonable most óf the time - Spiés work differently. You select whére you want tó send them ánd they teleport thére after a féw turns (they dónt travel across thé map), and thén it takes á few turns tó complete their missión (with a chancé to fail). Trade routes aré automated and aré not just á one-time usé. Stop using modérations as á crutch for yóur inability to fórm a solid argumént.
